The Second Deathly Beginning 5
This is one of my favorite death metal compilation albums of all time. I bought it sometime in the summer of 1994 on cassette. Before I brought this album, I bought the first Death Is Just The Beginning compilation video on VHS (which had the same cover as this album). On that video, I saw a lot of bands that I really liked. So it prompted me to buy the actual album compilation. So it did and the rest is history.

Now for my review. This compilation album is the second volume in the Death Is Just The Beginning compilation series by Nuclear Blast Records. This album was released sometime in the early 90's. Most of the bands here are from that era. So this will be a treasure for the old school death metal fans as well as fans of the old school Nuclear Blast and Relapse band rosters. Some of my favorite songs here are Ceremonial Void by Monstrosity, Putrefying Remains by Sinister, Cryptorium by Brutality, Immortal Cessation by Incantation, Rage Within by Resurrection, Torn Apart by Dismember, Scrolls Of The Megalloth by Mortification, Life Of Filth by Hypocrisy and The Glorious Dead by Gorefest. Let not forget that this album was released in the early 90's. So you can't find it in the stores anymore. The only way to find it along with the other compilations in the series is through Nuclear Blast (US and overseas websites), Century Media and here on Amazon.com but if you ever get the opportunity to get this album, than by all means seize the moment. Don't miss out. Death is truly the beginning.

Better than the other volumes5
Volume 2 is actually ALL death metal unlike some of the later volumes which were simply Nuclear Blast artists. Volume 7 in particular is less than half death metal. The rest is just crap.
