Terraniac FIRE
My sons both got this toy for Christmas. They love it. It is wild and crazy just like my boys. HOWEVER.....BE CAREFUL!!! We recharged our batteries and replaced them back into the toy. The car sat on our coffee table OFF and after about 10 minutes the vehicle was ON FIRE!!! Luckily I had not yet screwed the battery cover on and was able to remove the battery and throw it in a sink before anyone got seriously hurt. MY 8y/o son got slight burns on his fingers. If this had happened over night while we slept we could have had a house fire. PLEASE REMOVE YOUR BATTERIES WHILE NOT IN USE!!!! Matell has been extremely helpful in this matter and are running extensive investigations into the problem with our toy. They replaced the product but I am leary of these vehicles now. BE Careful.

The Terraniac is insane....all our kids love it...
This toy was a gift for our THREE year old...it says 8 years old and up on the box. It is COMPLETELY insane in that in runs SUPER FAST and is kind of scary, actually....but our 3 kids ages 10 8 and 3 all love it and fight over it. It is definitely an outdoor toy unless you have a room you don't care about, because it will inevitably be banged into walls and furniture...easy to control with the remote (even the 3 year old can do it well!) and durable, nothing seems to break it, it can go over rocks, grass, sticks..sometimes it gets stuck but you can just lift it up and move it. Completely addictive and we all have to take turns! Expensive though, I can't imagine paying $150+ for this toy...but I leave it in the car and bring it out at the park, etc., and everyone wants to take a turn at it.

My 8-year old son is somewhat disappointed. The Terraniac does not operate in snow as it is advertised.
