Average customer review:Product Description
Chinese Wisteria (Wisteria sinensis) The Chinese wisteria is a shade-tolerant vine, but it blooms best when grown in the sun. It prefers a deep, rich loam, has a moderate growth rate and is very easy to grow. The vine is easily pruned to keep it contained. The violet blue flowers, borne in drooping 8-12" racemes, are produced in late spring or early summer. It will cover a large trellis or arbor very quickly and is beautiful as a focal point to an entrance or porch. Hardy in zone 4-9

Customer Reviews
it did germinate but...
When I got the seeds, I went through the previous customer feedback, where mostly everyone said the seeds did not germinate. I was determined to get this plant so I soaked three seeds overnight in Gibberellic Acid (GA3) and two seeds in plain water. With in less than a week the GA treatment seeds germinated (and are now two inches tall) while the water soaked seeds are still lying dormant. I guess the seeds are viable, but it seems they need an extra boost to germinate. Normally I don't like to give chemical treatment to my plants, I even use home-made compost, but I've read in some books that Wisteria seeds are a bit stubborn so may be that's why the seeds did not germinate when soaked only in water. In any case, if you buy these seeds, keep some Gibberellic Acid with you.
Blue Chinese Wisteria Vine
Not one of the five blue chinese wisteria seeds sprouted that were sent to me.
You Gotta know How to grow these before you buy them
otherwise if your not used to rare plants and what they need to survive, go ahead and try them out, i have family that love these!
they might take a lonnnnng time to Flower but they are unique on care.
They like to be Moist. but not DRY at all times.
there are times for a whole 2 weeks i dont mess with them.
but they love the Moisture.
They may loose their Foliage Depending on where you live. DONT THROW THEM AWAY!!
those leaves they loose at first are Baby Leaves!
i notice these take alot of Plucking care.
and grow right back. But like i say Just watch Temperature Changed. { SUDDEN Changes }
Replanting them can also cause Re-Sprouting of New Leaves.
They are great for ANYONE who loves to see Leaves drop and them Re-Grow Every other Month. Actually tell you the truth reminds me of FERN PLANTS.
