Amazon.com Review
Wrap up in Pinzon's soft and supple Terry cotton bath sheet after a shower. Expertly woven at a state-of-the-art Terry textile plant in Pakistan, the plush Terry loop towel boasts 580 grams of pure Supima cotton per square meter. Widely recognized as the highest quality cotton, Supima is 100-percent American grown, extra-long-staple cotton used in the finest bed and bath linens. Super absorbent and very amply sized, the bath sheet is part of a full coordinating collection of Supima cotton bath linens that includes bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. The bath sheet measures 40 by 72 inches and is available in a wide variety of colors. Attractive dobby bands adorn the two ends of the bath sheet, and its edges are reinforced with strong, fold-over dobby weaves.
Definition of Supima Cotton: Supremely soft and durable, Supima fabrics are woven from extra long, strong cotton fibers grown in the USA. The brand name "Supima" is an abbreviation for "superior Pima," and Pima is the name given for extra-long-staple (ELS) cotton grown in select areas of the southwestern U.S. and a few other locations worldwide. Cotton is considered to be ELS or Pima if its staple length, or fiber, is at least 1-3/8 inches. Its fineness and longer staple make Pima a premium cotton fiber used to spin finer count yarns, which in turn can be knitted or woven into soft, fine, and luxurious fabrics. The "Supima" brand name is owned by the Supima non-profit organization comprised of American Pima cotton growers from Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Therefore, the name Supima is used to promote products made purely of 100-percent American Pima cotton grown in these regions. Apparel and textile mills and manufacturers earn licenses from the Supima organization so they can use the Supima name on their products. This trademark is a consumer's only guarantee that a product is made of 100-percent American Pima cotton.
History of the Textile Mill
Hira Terry Mills, Ltd., is a state-of-the-art Terry products manufacturing plant in Lahore, Pakistan. Founded by Mr. Umer Virk and Mr. Omar Khan, Hira Terry Mills is part of the larger parent company, Hira Textile Mills, Ltd. In its spinning unit, Hira Textile Mills has been producing yarns from Supima, Pima, Giza, Organic, Australian, and Pakistani cotton for the past 10 years. It houses modern Terry air jet looms and a Staubli Dobby loom. In its yarn-dyeing unit, Hira boasts fully automated, high temperature Terry dyeing machines. State-of-the-art equipment in these two units gives Hira the capability to produce specialized yarns, like zero-twist, blended-cotton, and dyed yarns for top-quality Terry products.
History of the Region
The Hira mill is located about 18 miles from Lahore, Pakistan, on Raiwind-Manga road. Popularly known as "the heart of Pakistan," Lahore is the capital of the province of Punjab and is the second largest city in Pakistan. Recognized as the cultural, political, and educational center of Pakistan, Lahore contains a great blend of ancient and modern attractions. Colonial-era mosques and ancient gardens draw as many tourists as modern shopping markets. In addition to their hand-made textiles, Lahoris are known for their spicy food and love of eating. Food streets are cordoned off in the evenings for pedestrian traffic only, and numerous cafés serve local delicacies under the lights and balconies of restored havelis, or traditional residential dwellings. Extremely festive, the people of Lahore celebrate many festivals and events throughout the year, honoring ancient Mughal and current Western trends. Lahore's culture -- its history, institutions, food, clothing, films, music, fashion, and liberal community lifestyle -- attracts people from all over the country, as well as the world.

Nice towels
I see the below reviews and decided I need to put my two cents in :) as I have had these towels for a while now! I personally really like these. Mine have been used and washed several times now and they are still in great shape, I love how soft they are and they are absorbent as well, which is always key! I purchased the midnight blue and it is a very nice deep blue. I am pleased - Thanks Pinzon!
quality product
I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of this bath sheet. It is much nicer than I had expected and draws wows from all who come in contact with it. Everyone wants to know where I found such a great towel... It is very dense and very generous in size and the color is rich in tone. The price was very good and I got my usual great Amazon service, so what more could anyone ask for?
Not Durable and Not Very Absorbent.......
I chose these towels primarily because their 20-inch width fits my towel bars of the same width. Apparently, hand towels with this width aren't very common.
The bad news is that after a couple of washings, the binding on the long edge is disintegrating into strings.
Also, I would expect more absorbency from towels having this weight and made using high grade cotton.
I would not buy the towels again.
As usual, Amazon.com's service was excellent.
