Awkward to use, hard to read.
This is a poor thermometer. The device is an attractive round body with a mode selection wheel around the perimeter. It is much to clever to be useful. The modes are difficult to set. There is no intuitive way to set any of the temperature settings or time settings. If you ever used one of those Chinese stopwatches or wristwatches that require you to press one or two buttons in sequence and divine the setting by looking at flashing symbols with no obvious purpose you can understand what it is like to use this device.

My wife is very irritated when she tried to use this in the past. The probe went dead after just a few uses. That was the best thing about it. Now we don't feel bad about throwing it away.

You'll regret buying this if you do. Find another thermometer.

Too difficult to use
I have had one for 6 months and still can't figure out how to use the settings. The design requiring you to turn the outer wheel and press the center button is difficult to coordinate and even a slight movement of the wheel changes the settings. I would not buy this again if I had been able to try it out of the packaging before buying.

Digital Blunder
Zyliss makes exceptionally well made and innovative cooking gadgets and is one of my top three favorite untensil makers.
THE MEAT THERMOMETER & MULTI-TIMER, IN MY OPINION, IS THE WORST PRODUCT IN THEIR LINE. It is beautifully styled, but aggravating to set, making it extremely difficult and annoying to use. I returned it to the store for a refund. Now I use the built-in, easy-to-use timer on my microwave and have purchased another brand of meat thermometer, this time wireless.
My Zyliss Meat Thermometer experience was an complete waste of time and money, therefore, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
