Sadly, could not get the radio to work.....
Sadly, this clock radio did not deliver...I read the reviews and thought wow, this is the perfect radio for my husband...for some reason, we could not get the FM radio to work and had to send the radio back. There was no problem with the return process, everyone was most helpful...but we still have no clock radio!! Good luck, hopefully yours will work, maybe we just had a lemon....

Great - Until!
I've had this clock radio for a couple of years. I loved it for it's good sound quality, automatic clock set, and sleep features. The audio was good enough that I was able to put away my cumbersom boom box. A towel solved the problem of a too bright display even set on dim. Suddenly it stopped - no sound from radio or CD. I would like to replace it with the same model, but 2 years for a clock radio is too short a life span. I had thought that Brookstone would ensure a more durable product, but maybe I was fooled by the slick catalogue.

This purchase was Amazon 'used'. When I rec'd it I was amazed at the beautiful condition for the price I paid. Even at it's full price it's about the best deal I've seen among top name brands. It is solid and too nice looking to leave on a bedroom night stand.
Not everything is perfect. There are too many buttons which makes it too complex for most people, especially setting the 'presets'. One button it could have used would be an adjustment for the bass sound which is very deep....but I like it's old fashion console radio sound. I had to find a place in my home that would pick up my favorite stations. That is not unusual with most radios that I've had, unless they had an antenna. There are no terminals to add one to it.
Overall I am very pleased with the quality of this purchase. I do however keep my instruction booklet nearby which by the way is easy to follow...if you're not intimidated easily.
