Brittle and easily chipped
Easily chipped. We have had a set of eight for four months. Four of the eight already have chipped edges. We have never had stoneware or china that is so brittle.

Great Plates (& whole set in general)
I have 4 of these dishes (brown), as well as 5 salad plates (one in black), 5 square bowls, and 9 round bowls (8 brown, 1 black), and I LOVE them! The only think I don't love is that they are out of stock a lot! I have not had any problem with the dishes being fragile, and I've already bumped them into the range hood a couple of times as I put them back in the cabinet. In addition, I love that when I microwave food in them, they don't get hot like my old ones did! I think these are wonderfully, simple dishes!

(I have black and brown b/c I wanted black, but it's shiny, so I ended up going with the flat brown instead.)
