Copper salad plate
I recieved two of these salad plates today. They are even more beautiful than in the picture. There is a copper shimmer to the plate and when light hits it, you can see flecks of blue, orange and other earth tones. These plates will be for everyday use, and they are special enough to bring out when company comes over. The size is perfect for a meal and generous enough to serve appetizers from for guest. I will order the dinner plates, mugs and

Chips very easily
The gray salad plates chip very easily. I have a whole set and none of the other items(bowls, dinner plates, cups) have chipped, but five of eight of the salad plates have chipped. I believe it to be a manufacturing defect. The salad plate edges chip so easily that it makes me wonder about the glazing process. The gray salad plates are no longer available which makes we wonder if Sasaki knows there is a problem, but is not doing the right thing and offering refunds to the people who got the defective products.
