The film starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton and James Caan. The film was followed with The Godfather Part II in 1974, The Godfather Part III in 1990, and a 2006 video game based on the film. It is about the leader of a New York mafia organization.
