I'm a framing contractor and this is the third set of different cement siding gauges I have used and they are by far the best. I used them on two houses both times using James-Hardie 8 1/4". You don't have to lift up and pull the lower part of the upper piece forward to remove, making it not only better, but faster.

Excellent!!!
Great product. This is my first time to use such a product and I'm telling anyone who has ever done siding that this is the only way to go. Easy to use and the accuracy is a plus plus plus to the product. My only complaint: I dropped one in the grass and since it is the same color of green, I had a hard time finding it. Maybe orange would be better.

Gets the job done well.
It is very accurate and a great idea. My husband is residing our entire two story house on his own-and I don't have to stand outside and hold the pieces of siding while he's working on it, this is great!
