On each side of the main stalk, a few inches above the floor plate, we welded two protruding steel bars for the gun butts to rest on. Gun movement caused by a bouncing ride is eliminated. Rifle scopes aren't knocked offline. 2. The floor mounting base is smaller and gives you more leg room, which is needed in the Yamaha Rhino and the Polaris Ranger. 3. we added a steel support on teh main steel stalk and got rid of the " sqoosh " support plate that goes underneath the vehicle floor. Saves you time installing and is even sturdier. Customers tell us gun rack will not wiggle on rough terrain. 4. Main steel stalk has a slant that creates even more gun room in cramped vehicles cabins. 5. The main steel stalk is removable, only the base remains. 6. The tight rubber straps will not dry rot like cheap bungee material. We also stock the rubber replacement straps if you somehow lose them.
