Customer Reviews

beginner book5
This is the simplest "teach yourself" kit I have seen, though the techniques for the more complicated techniques are not as detailed as they could be, all that you need to get started is here.

With this book and a ball or two of yarn (I like Lion Brand Homespun because it hides any mistakes), this makes a very good beginning for someone who has never knit.

Good Basic Kit4
I used the tools in this kit to learn how to knit. For the most part, I was able to use the instruction book to learn. I did utilize web videos as well, but the illustrations in the book are clear and useful to tell how the yarn should be placed. As far as all the tools that the kit includes, I am still a bit unsure how to use them, though it doesn't seem like you really need them all in the beginning. Overall this kit, the internet, and some yarn can essentially get you started.

Okay place to start4
This was an okay place to start, but I did need more help. They do a good job of covering stitches, but overlook the most basic of things, like "how to hold the needles."
