About the Author
Phillip Gary Smith grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, graduating with High Honors from the University of Tennessee. He was a United States Air Force R.O.T.C. graduate and Officer; completing that commitment, he joined the business world initially with a position with the Lincoln-Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company.
He entered his current profession of investments in 1975 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has spent years in emerging company investments with the fun and challenges they entail. With clients throughout the country, his focus in on Minnesota based projects.
Phillip uses his curiosity in his profession and his writing. He is a musician, a self described non-athlete athlete, father, husband, investor, trail runner, voracious reader, snowshoe enthusiast and movie buff whose tastes range from David Lynch to Stanley Kubrick.

Great Read!
"Ultra Superior" is a great read about a middle aged guy pushing himself to extraordinary lengths as an ultra-marathoner. Phil Smith's voice as a writer is colloquial and intimate, an unusual accomplishment for any author.
