Beautiful design
Pictures do not do justice for this item. I was thoroughly surprised when it arrived. You kinda have to look at it three or four times to catch all the different ways that it reflects and refracts the light. It's so nice it should literally be a piece of art in and of itself, instead of a platter.

~~Sometimes size matters~~
first~this item is really huge....check your tape measure; 18 1/4"...make sure you have a surface to display this piece.
The item is hand blown...which is an artistic way to express that each item is unique. This is true, but, part of the uniqueness is lopsidedness, color variations that are not organic...lines of purple that were meant to be blended, but didn't.
It is a substantial piece, that is pleasing to the eye and has heft.
The price of this item has fluctuated radically....under $20, it is a steal. At $60+ take your chances. The colors are more monochromatic than noted on other reviews.

Beautiful Piece
The item is beautiful; large and a great color. You need in inspect it when it arrives. I ordered several and 2 arrived broken - aparently UPS's fault. Amazon was very helpful and sent replacements immediately, but I'm fortunate that I inspected them upon arrival. Had I just left them in the cartons I think I would have been out of luck.
