Product Description

Bringing both high-definition audio and video into an entry-level Onkyo A/V receiver for the first time, the TX-SR576 breaks barriers that were thought impregnable just a short time ago. Thanks to the TX-SR576¿s HDMI platform, this receiver stands out with three masterful high-def advantages: 1) The ability to switch three 1080p video sources; 2) The scope to handle enhanced Dolby Digital Plus encoded audio; and 3) The capability to integrate and operate compatible components from the leading consumer electronics brands. In recognition of the need for home theater to adapt to spacious living rooms as well as to cozy apartment spaces, the TX-SR576 features new Audyssey technologies that let you tailor surround sound to your home and ensure an enveloping soundscape, even at low volumes. When it comes to digital music, this receiver draws on Onkyo¿s own technology to spark life into digital audio files such as MP3s.

good price - quick delivery5
This was a smooth transaction. The price was around a 35% discount and I received everything in less than a week.

One amazing receiver for not alot of cash!5
For those interested in more reviews, there are many on the black version of this receiver. I bought silver to match my Pany Viera plasma and Comcast cable box. This receiver replaced one of the JVC RX-702B digital hybrid feedback a/c receivers with 7.1 surround. While they are loaded with power and HDMI and all that, it's flaky, doesn't play nice with Comcast cable boxes AT ALL and has a noisy cooling fan...did I mention it needs alot of ventilation!?!??! Anyway, after the JVC's HDMI port failed to work with the latest Motorola box from Comcast's HDMI (what version is anyone's guess...), I said enough and upgraded to Onkyo. With three HDMI inputs and one master out to the plasma, this receiver rocks. The Audessy speaker setup with the mic is great, and it nailed the seating distance from the Polk Audio SurroundBar perfectly at 11 feet. A couple of quick clicks with the remote and the HDMI as assigned to the Comcast box and perfectly clear 1080i was on my plasma along with crystal clear audio. There are so many features to this baby, but they are easy to adjust and set via the remote. Speaking of remotes...their's is gorgeous. Piano black finish with grey rubberized keys....and yes it's a true smart remote. It works both the comcast box and plasma....including menu settings and guides off the cable box!!! Even the wife is happy...that says alot. Oh and I do highly recommend the Polk Audio SoundBar..but get the matching PSW10 sub also....or at least a 10" forward firing sub. The 8" I had on there just didn't sound right with the bar. The thundering 10" sub made all the difference.

BOTTOM LINE: Buy this receiver...there is no better for this amount of money.
