disappointing!
The antenna is undersized and does a poor job of capturing signal, it could easily be much larger. I'm a man and I want a big antenna.
What they don't tell you; the indoor antenna has to be within an 8 inch proximity of your cell phone, thanks for the RF boost around my head. I would recommend directly plugging into the cellular to reduce RF radiation,(part not included.) Meanwhile to reduce my exposure I only power up while in marginal signal area's.
This product is not a magic bullet, it's important to note; if there's ZERO SIGNAL capture by the undesized antenna out side your vehicle, then you will be amplifying ZERO SIGNAL, to address this I am now purchasing a 'high gain' truckers antenna. Oh yea it's big.
So YES this product does work, but there is a serious lack of clear details on the web site from the seller, they need to step up to the plate and disclose more info, ESPECIALLY about the small indoor signal footprint.
no effect at all
Tried this, followed the instructions on placement and verified it
had a green light. The result? No effect at all. The signal
was completely unchanged. Tried it right up close even,
still no result, still stayed a -93db signal.
And when the other reviewer says short antenna? Wow, is it
short. We're talking a bit over 3 inches here. Looks like a toy.
