Strathwood's adjustable lounge chair is designed to travel anywhere and set up and fold down easily. The chair is ultra convenient and attractive for decks, patios, poolsides, and the beach. Bungee cords through metal grommets secure the ultra-durable Textilene seat to its lightweight powder-coated steel frame and give the chair its suspension seating. Textilene is a polyester yarn with a resin coating, woven into very durable and elastic fabric. The chair's arms are made of a hard plastic for durability. Though the steel seat frame resists rust and corrosion and is powder coated to protect it from weathering, the lounger is not meant to be left outdoors year round in all weather. The lounger is designed to be very easy to set up and take down for storing.

A colossal waste of money
This was an impulse buy; I normally would not spend anywhere near this much on a beach chair, even though it was discounted (slightly) as a lightning deal. As often happens with impulse buys... I am suffering from serious buyer's remorse.

On the plus side, the chair looks nice (I love the lime color) and is pretty comfortable. But it is VERY heavy (my sons argue over who has to lug it to the beach for me every day), and while it is more comfortable than your average beach chair - it is not more comfortable enough to warrant the price tag. Almost-as-comfortable, easier-to-carry chairs can be found anywhere for less than half the price of this one.

Bottom Line: cute and comfortable, but too heavy to be practical as a beach chair, and way overpriced.

Aftter several months...NOT PLEASED!!
I paid alot of money for these chairs. When they first came in..about 2 months ago..they seemed to be well made (heavier than most) and well designed.
Problem #1...The gear on the arm of the chair that gives it multipositional up and downward tilting is broken. Slips out of the channel.ie..will not hold in one position at a particular angle without slipping all the way back to the total supine position with only minimal pressure.
Problem #2...Stitching is coming apart around the outside edges..which I am sure that will cause a big problem as this cannot really be stopped.
Would NOT buy these chairs again.
Nice design..but NOT well made.

Best Beach Chair Ever
I've had the same beach chair forever, and when it was time for a new one, the Lime version of the Strathmore was on sale and I grabbed it. Wow what an upgrade! Comfortable and snazzy, the chair features ultra-smooth recline adjustments which are a pleasant change from the get-it-in-the groove designs of years past. If you spend a significant amount of time on the beach or by the pool, you'll want to spend the extra bucks and get one of these. It's great!
