I read it in a hurry. It's an interesting book, well written. The book caters especially to North American wannabe winemakers: Rest of the World readers might want something else, more localized. If I had some interest in doing my own wine, this book changed my perspective! Too much work and too many variables to look at! The book has been an eye opener to me.

I own it -- I'm actually reading it. I'm halfway right now. Quite a good book, it souldn't be your only book on (Italian) wine. Wine is so a vast subject, once it captures you, you are going to want to read more and more about it. I suggest you to stick with "The Wine Bible", by Karen MacNeil, as an introduction. Later on, this one is good enough to keep digging.
