Buy used from: $38.00 Andy Lennon wrote two similar model airplane books. This one is large format and full of pictures and illustrations. The other book is smaller and older. In some ways the earlier book feels like a first edition of this one. This book gets straight to the point and I consult it often for guidance.

Buy new: $84.76 / Used from: $66.82 Wow. If you've ever wondered how a real airplane gets designed, then read this book. It is written by a master in his field. Not inexpensive, but one of my most often used technical references. If I read something in the book, I know Mr. Raymer learned it through years of hard experience.

Buy new: $39.95 / Used from: $20.88 Up to edition 4, and it shows. Lots of information about model airplane aerodynamics. It's almost all qualitative, though. The few equations included are in an appendix. But it's great for understanding how all the design trade-offs work together. Pretty easy to read, too.
