I wish I could remember what drew me to this book. The cover and description are so unlike anything I would ever be interested in. I started reading and could not put it down. Great story.

A precocious child actor I was never crazy about turned into a very talented, funny writer and loving mother. I started reading because of her name and stayed reading because she is a darn good writer.

I avoided this book for a long time. It sounded too depressing. I kept seeing people reading it so I finally gave in and read it and was very surprised. Although it is a sad subject, it was not depressing. A lovely story and I hope the movie does the book justice.

Another book that would make a great movie - a chick flick. I feel like I personally know each character. They are all interesting in their own way.
