I have half a dozen arts and crafts books and this is my favorite. It is the most age appropriate for a two-year-old boy, unlike many similar books which seem to be geared toward the three year old set. And the goal of every activity is the experience of creating art, not the finished product. Good clean messy fun.

This is full of fun ideas. What I like best is the variety. And it is well organized. If the weather is nice, you can flip through that section and look for outdoor ideas or something involving water play. If you're looking for a quiet or non-messy idea there are sections with those activities as well. If you only purchase one activity book, I would choose this one.

When we need a little downtime we rely on Sesame Street. Learning About Numbers is one of our favorites. The format is theme-oriented, and my husband and I love seeing many of the songs that we grew up watching!

These Kumon First Step Workbooks are very, very simple. We do a couple of pages here and there, from this book and the "Let's Color" book. After we complete these two, we'll move on to "Let's Fold" and "Let's Cut Paper." There are also follow-up books: "More Let's Sticker & Paste," etc.

This is the devotion book we'll be using.

Our son loves to "fix things" around the house and is fascinated with dump trucks and diggers.

Although I would prefer wooden manipulatives and pegboards, the cost is prohibitive. Lauri's foam products are a more cost-effective alternative.

Our son is working on life skills like putting his coat on, zipping the zipper, etc. This puzzle is perfect practice for many such skills.

We have heard such great thing about Wedgits and are excited to try them. We will also purchase a Wedgit board.

My son tends to make musical instruments out of ordinary household objects, but he also has a little set of instruments, which he enjoys.

This is my favorite piece of organizational furniture. It comes with slide out plastic tubs that can be removed for more shelf space, if desired. We have my son's small toys (vehicles, blocks, etc.) in separate labeled bins, which helps with keeping things tidy. The rest of his toys are in a closet in plastic boxes with lids so that I can control how many toys/activities come out at once!

A big part of our day is time spent outside. My son loves to take walks (actually, he jogs) and when he gets tired he likes to be pulled in his wagon. I used to carry him halfway home and now that I'm pregnant and he's getting so big, that isn't an option. Next summer we'll add the sun tent.
