Great source on Thracian tribes and their customs

A highly informative and scholarly work, although it's expensive. You should be able to find it in a university library, if you can't afford it.

If you can get past Jolie's incongruous German (!?) accent, you will be treated to the sight of Thracian peltasts, as well as some Agrianes running alongside A's Companion cavalry, at the battle of Gaugamela. I think A's father Philip was overly maligned, but that's the topic for another list.

A great deal of information about developments in Thrace following the death of Alexander the Great.

You actually need Book VII (combined in Loeb with Book VI in a single volume), but Amazon doesn't list it.

A beautifully conceived and illustrated book, which unfortunately suffers from some Bulgarian chauvinism as regards Thracians and related peoples. Many of this book's premises remain to be proven.

If you read German, this is a great summary, delivered with Teutonic thoroughness.
