Great idea...works with empty beer bottles as well3
I liked the idea a lot when I saw it on TV but did not want to spend that much. I tried to use the same logic and used a clean empty beer bottle filled it with water and inverted it in my pot of daisies. It works the same and I feel great about recycling the glass bottles. If you are creative you can even paint them and its free. :)

Awesome Product!5
I couldn't believe how well these things work! I'm always skeptical when I see things that look cool on t.v. But these genuinely work good. For direct sunlight two are required for one plant, but they are such a good deal that I don't mind. I'm really bad at being able to tell when a plant needs water, these resolved that. Plants drink all morning long, these don't dump water on them all at once, they're perfect.

Aqua Globes not all they're said to be1
The Aqua Globes look nice, but they are hard to fill AND they do not water your plant slowly as it needs water like they are advertised to do.

I watered my plant thoroughly then put in the water globe as the directions specified and the globe emptied all it's water into the planter at once. So much for watering your plant gradually while you are away. It has emptied this way every time I refill it (which takes awhile) and put it back in the planter--glub, glub, glub the water is out of the globe all at once regardless of whether the plant needs water or not.

I bought a different one at another store--very ugly, but it works!!
