Excellent work boot for concrete floors
I have wore all sorts of boots and shoes in the past. These boots make my feet feel like I just put them on even after a 12 hour work day. They have a steel toe in them that you can't even tell is there. I walk on the average of 6-10 miles a day on concrete floors and these feel like good walking shoes but with all the protection that I need and want. I ordered these a half size bigger than normal and wear two pairs of socks to help give my feet extra padding and sweat protection. I like these boots enough that I think that I'll order another pair for when these wear out.
I just bought a second pair, but won't buy a third.
I work construction so I'm on my feet 8 hours a day. I hate most of the stiff construction boots out there. I wanted something comfortable. I bought these and they were great! no break in time, they feel almost like a high top sneaker and there is good arch support. Sometimes I work in the wet mud and these boots keep the water out even though they aren't waterproof. this is my second pair the first pair lasted around a year and a half. The way my first pair wore out was the stitching on where the rubber toe meets the leather came unstitched and left a gaping hole in my boot. I'm thinking of getting another pair for the future in case they quit making them.
Update, I'm not having as good of luck with the second pair. after around 4 months the stitching in the same area came undone. it's on the inside were the edge of the steel toe, the rubber toe guard and the leather all intersect. It comes undone there. I think I have a solution how to fix it is to put some "Shoe Goo" over the stitching in that area that should protect it from the abrasion that wears down the stitching. I still like Timberland's boots I just know what to look out for now.
