Guitar Hero World Tour transforms music gaming by expanding Guitar Hero's signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines advanced wireless instruments with online and offline gameplay modes including online Band Career and 8-player "Battle of the Bands," which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online. The game features a slick redesigned guitar, an authentic electronic drum kit, and a microphone, as well as a Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit and share their own rock ân' roll anthems.

AWESOME!!!
I have had the World Tour Band Kit for the Wii for about 4 months now and LOVE it. I have played Guitar Hero since it first came out on PS2 and have also tried to play RockBand, Guitar Hero wins by leaps and bounds! The guitar works great and for those that can play on expert the new feature for tap playing is great. I have had little practice on the drums myself but my friends have played on it and they like it a lot, unlike the RockBand drums the Guitar Hero drums are set up more realistic to a real drum kit. I would recommend buying an additional guitar so that you can play as a band of 4 if you have a lot of friends. The microphone is also really easy to use and I haven't had and problems with it so far! I strongly recomend Guitar Hero World Tour over RockBand any day!
5 months-drums broken
This game is really fun while it works. We had to send one guitar back, because it stopped working. Then the drums have a "sensitivity" issue which can be corrected with software. The top on one of the drums came off and had to be taped back on, because it will not pop back on. A little while after that, the tops on all the drums had to be taped in order to tune in correctly. But now, 2 out of the three drums have stopped working. Since the 90 day warranty expired, the only alternative is to buy a new drum set-quite expensive if you figure you'll only get so many months play each time. It appears the drums breaking is a common occurence-especially the red one. So, when considering purchasing this item, please take cost replacement into consideration. We're very disappointed with this item.
