From the Manufacturer
Founded 50 years ago as a family-owned business, Haflinger is the largest manufacturer of boiled wool in Germany. Run by the grandson of the founder, Haflinger is known in many international markets for not only its boiled wool slippers and wool felt clogs, but more importantly for its outstanding quality and workmanship. In 1991 Gerda Hoehm began importing Haflinger into the U.S. and Canada and the company has since doubled and tripled sales from year to year--our footwear has been extremely well received in North America. Although the recipe for reliable footwear and superior wool has not changed since the early days of Haflinger, the line has evolved its product offering to include a range of styles--children's slippers and clogs, wool-felt cork-bottom clogs, hard- and soft-sole slippers, and our newest sandal and clog line, the Trend Collection. Whether you prefer the classic Grizzly clog, our breathable, comfortable boiled-wool slippers, or our fresh, new Trend styles, Haflinger footwear consistently treats your feet to the best!
Customer Reviews
Love 'Em To Death!
I bought my first pair of Haflinger wool clogs 5 years ago and wore them until the treads were gone and the wool all worn through--i.e. everywhere! They are durable, warm, extremely comfortable, attractive with lots of different styles and, for the money, a great bargain. No other clogs have lasted as long and been as good for my feet as these. Some of the less expensive brands are hard for long-distance walking, but these I could wear all day, even at the county fair or while strolling about a new city, and my feet wouldn't get sore at all. I highly recommend. PS: The sizes are generous, so if you're more like, say, a 6-1/2, get a 6 rather than a 7.
shoes for life
I have owned several of these shoes for years. I use them for shoes and slippers, they are very warm--no socks needed and easy to slide on and off. I have heel spurs and they are one of the few shoes I can wear all day with total comfort. They are hard to find and very worth the money as you will have them for years!
Great slipper with good arch support
The best thing about these is that they have a firm foot bed with a real arch. That's pretty hard to find in a slipper. (To me they're slippers; I don't know what a clog is. :) Overall they are very comfortable and warm enough.
Only 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price! If I didn't really need the arch support I wouldn't pay this much for a slipper, nice as they are.
