The last time Saki left school it was to change her school uniform for prison greys, but when the Feds needed someone to infiltrate a ruthless criminal organization operating within an exclusive high school, they knew they needed the baddest bad girl of them all! Now Saki's back on the streets for the ultimate final exam, armed with a top-secret weapon that only LOOKS like a yo-yo, and a license to use whatever force necessary to achieve her goal. Saki's lovely, lethal and ready to lay it all on the line-because if she fails this test, the next outfit she'll be wearing is a body bag!

Saki Asamiya is an unlikely heroine: while serving time in prison on trumped-up charges, she's forced to become an undercover police agent to keep her mother, who's serving time on death row, from being executed. She returns to her old high school and acquires two friends: gentle artist Junko and adoring Sampei Nowake. The three Mizuchi sisters, the daughters of a corrupt politician, are using the school to launch their own schemes that include extortion, assault, drug-dealing, kidnapping, rape, and murder. In addition to her skill as martial artist, Saki fights with a police-issue yo-yo (!), which becomes a deadly weapon in her hands. The improbable and violent story gets sorted out in the end--more or less, but it hardly seems worth the bother. (Rated 15 and older, but more appropriate for 17 and older: nudity, violence, violence against women, sexual situations, profanity, alcohol, tobacco and drug use) --Charles Solomon

Sukeban Deka comes alive!
If you know anything at all about Japanese cult movies, you probably know about the SUKEBAN DEKA movies and TV series, which were derived from a manga back from 1972. The anime goes back to the source and brings it kicking and screaming into the Nineties. It's violent, funny, bizarre, and extremely enjoyable in many different ways. A good introduction to anime, actually!
This is really good
Intersting story, it has a lot of action and good characters especially Saki the main character. drawn well. She becomes a cop and there's more to it than that. See it for yourself.
Don't watch for the plot.
I say that because to be honest, it's a cliche, by the numbers good vs evil story and there's holes you can drive a Mack Truck through. The makers tried very hard to make her an anti hero and they only sort of suceeded.
That said, watch it because Saki kicks ass and uses a yo-yo for a weapon. There are some wonderful fight scenes and she uses the yo-yo to great effect. Watch it for those. Heck, make a drinking game out of it.
I should also add that in the end, when she starts tearing up the bad guy's organization single handed, is when the animation comes into it's own.
