Completely amazing. I agree with the American Chesterton Society review, this is 'the best Potter analysis ever written.' Significantly, it is also the most in-depth study ever written about J.K. Rowling and her intentions for her Harry Potter series, making this book an absolute must-read for all Harry Potter fans and foes alike. I was deeply impressed.

Jo said that she basically summed up all the themes of her Septology in this little, power-packed book. Whether you love it or loathe it, it really sums up her intentions and gives a glimpse into her thinking pattern.

Absolute must have.

Be entertained and support a good cause (Comic Relief). Fantastic indeed!

An entertaining read the got a few major things right (like Harry being a Horcrux and Snape being good...I knew it!)...but also gets a many smaller plot points completely wrong: sort of humorous in a post-Deathly Hallows world.

A charming read, pun intended. Yes, he gets a few details wrong regarding Harry, but by and large it's one of the first books by a Christian to stop burning Harry at the stake.

Another early book that doesn't burn Harry at the stake...although is misses some key points, I think, and tends to straddle the fence too much (tries to please everybody rather than take a real stand either for or against Harry.)

An interesting book, but it's advertised determination to ignore Rowling's intentions is a weakness.

Another "heady" installment from Mr. Granger that could have used more editing. The author's admission that he threw some of his lectures together in a few weeks to create this book is apparent in the reading. It lacks continuity, tends to ramble, etc., but you will get a few things from this book if you like lectures.
