A 1-3/4-inch backstop provides helpful leverage for flipping pancakes or French toast and raises the griddle's handle to a safe height above the cooking flame.

Wish it was bigger, but great pan. The handle will stay cool for a long time while cooking. Easy to clean. Great price. I feel like I underpaid, but don't tell Calphalon that.

Sturdy and functional
I use this pan more than any other in my kitchen. It's easy to clean and my eggs over don't stick.
