I've been jonesing for a good quality set of steak knives lately, and of all the ones I reviewed, dishwasher-safe was a partial consideration, and these don't seem to stain. Plus they're nice and heavy, like a steak knife should be.

I found this on another user's Listmania list, and have been really satisfied by it. I have started making my own bread, and this thing sure beats my old hand-me-down bread knife.

After deciding to buy the 4.5" knife, I decided oh, what the hell, I'll splurge. This knife beats the pants off the Cutco chef's knife I used to steal from my roommate. And I thought that one was amazing!

Block with enough slots for me. The sharpener I don't really trust, but the only reason I bought the block was because the number of slots was the best I could get for the price. It's a nice solid block.

I love to make chili, and dicing up 4 onions is not terribly fast, but with this thing I'm done in 10% the time. Awesome. Just don't cut yourself!

Gotta get the lid for it of course.

A great pot for making your own tomato sauce, which is something I've only just started, but only in small doses. Nice to make soup in as well!

I didn't really think I needed a corer, but it makes eating an apple with cheese much easier.

I needed a pasta spoon anyway, but this one is nice and long, and cleans very easily.

Interesting spoon... almost a spachula. Comes in useful.

I put garlic in probably far too many dishes, so I'm always buying it raw and mincing it manually. This was one of the presses recommended on Amazon and for the price it's well worth it.

I searched for a long time to find a good meat pounder. I went with this circular one despite never having used one. I thought the grip would be bad, but it surprised me. The thing is also heavy enough that you don't have to exert yourself too much to pound that meat.

I needed a good starter grill, and I got this one as a gift, just after deciding on buying it myself. This grill is a bit smaller, but it's really really good. It cooks evenly, and gets good mileage out of the gas canisters. It only takes cooking-style propane tanks, but you can buy the full-size tank adapter. I just pick up the camping sized ones for $4 at the store.
