By an Amazon.com customer
PlayStation Portable Core (PSP 1000)PlayStation Portable Core (PSP 1000)
Buy new: $399.99 / Used from: $85.00
First, you'll need a PSP (obviously, lol).
PSP Travel CasePSP Travel Case
Buy used from: $11.01
Since the PSP is glass fragile (and can easily break), I recommend purchasing a durable hard-case, to protect the system from drops, and other forms of abusive shock. The Sony PSP Travel Case worked well for me.
PSP Protective FilterPSP Protective Filter
You'll want to purchase a "HORI Protective Filter" to protect the beautiful PSP screen, from dangerous elements such as: scratches, dust, and fingerprints. "HORI" brand is the best in the market, so purchase one of these.
3M Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth, Color May Vary, 1 Count3M Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth, Color May Vary, 1 Count
Buy new: $4.99
A microfiber cleaning cloth is recommend when cleaning the surface of the PSP, to remove: dust, fingerprints, oils, etc. Microfiber is gentle enough to use on glossy surfaces, and tough enough to remove impurities. Also, you do not need to apply water on a microfiber cloth - it works well when dry.
SanDisk 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (SDMSPD-1024-A11)SanDisk 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (SDMSPD-1024-A11)
Buy new: $14.64 / Used from: $3.93
Next, you'll need a memory stick. The 1GB Sandisk Pro Duo works well, and provides the space you need, to save all of your games, along with some MP3s and small video files.
6ft USB Type A Male to Mini B (5 Pin) Male Cable6ft USB Type A Male to Mini B (5 Pin) Male Cable
Buy new: $0.01 / Used from: $0.01
In order to transfer files from your PC to your PSP, you'll need a USB cable. Specifically, you'll need a "USB type A to Mini B" cable. Amazon has them EXTREMELY cheap. I can't recommend a brand, so purchase the cable that's right for you.
