Customer Reviews

very nice product--but more of a luxury than the good ol' hand lotion in that plastic bottle4
When I last tried this product I was happiest with the hand treatment, so I tried just this hand treatment again.

SpaSensials Hand Treatment System gives you four pairs of moisturizing gloves all kept fresh in plastic packages. The gloves are designed to make your skin become much less dry, cracked--and much more moisturized. The insides of the gloves are coated with a thin layer of liquid vitamins A, E and B5 as well as aloe, avocado and jojoba. Keep the gloves inside their plastic packages until you're ready to use them. Overall, the product helps your hands feel moisturized.

The gloves go on easily; and they should be worn for fifteen minutes to get the full effect. It's very similar to applying lotion to your hands to soften them up--but this product is a type of splurge that people will want to try anyway. You may well enjoy it!

Be careful to store this out of the reach of children and keep all items inside the packets until you're ready to use them.

Have further questions about this product? The manufacturer, Kimberly-Clark, gives customers a toll free number so people can contact the company. Good PR!

Overall, Kimberly-Clark wants to give people a rather trendy, "hip and happening" hand moisturizing product. The gloves did help my hands feel moisturized; but I could have reached the same goal using much cheaper over the counter hand lotion with vitamins A and E.

Nice product to pamper yourself--but more expensive than really necessary. Four stars.

Smelly and doesn't work that well2
This is a product I really, really wanted to love. I have spent years sleeping with cotton gloves on my hands, holding in one greasy cream or another. The idea that there was a pair of gloves out there that had the cream woven right into the fabric, saving me mess, time and the attractiveness quotient of sleeping like an elderly maiden aunt, with old church gloves on my hands. Afterward, there's the hassle of washing greasy old gloves. A fifteen minute, no mess alternative sounded wonderful.

Sadly, it didn't turn out to meet any of my expectations. First of all, the package led me to believe that six treatments were inside. ha ha, Joke's on me. There are four pairs of gloves and two scrubby things. Guess what? Scrubbing things in winter is why I have dried up, cracked, and bleeding hands. But still, $2.50 for a hand treatment isn't bad. I put on the "cooling and comfortable" gloves and immediately noticed a strong odor, chemical odor that seemed to get stronger as the fifteen minute treatment persisted. By the time the treatment was over, my daughter had left the room, gagging.

Even worse, after all the headaches was the condition of my hands. When you use the old glove and heavy cream combo, your hands stay moisturized and nice for hours. With this stuff, the second that water hits your skin, the cream disappears any benefit you had is gone. Pity. I really, really wanted to love these.

Steer clear!1
Avoid these gloves at all costs! I am not a high-allergy person (in fact I have never experienced any sort of sensitivity or reaction to any creams, lotions, or even laundry products whatsoever). I wore these gloves one night to bed. I put them on around midnight, and woke up at 4am with excruitiating itching and burning. Both of my hands swelled so badly that I had to take off my rings which were very very loose to begin with. I had to go to the dermatologist, who gave me steroid cream to apply, and also steroids to take as well to try and get the swelling down and the itching under control. I brought the box of gloves to the doctor with me. She read the ingredients list and noticed about 4 or 5 things that are known to cause severe allergic reactions in people. Also, the gloves are made in China and so I probably should have been suspect before I even tried them. I tried to give the other 3 pairs of gloves to the nurses and other staff at the dermatologist but I think my screaming red hands scared them away. They tossed them straight in the trash for me. I couldn't recommend them any less.
