Vitamin C
Vitamin C or L-ascorbate (Ascorbate acid) is an essential nutrient for higher primates, and a small number of other species. Vitamin C is an antioxidant. Our bodies do not make vitamin C, and without an intake of Vitamin C will result in scurvy.
