Siemens "Pure" Hearing Aids are purely fabulous
I've been wearing these little "puppies" since Thanksgiving week 2008 and they are so very easy to take care of mainly because of their rechargeable batteries feature which allows overnight charging for all day wearing right through the evening. However, if you forget to recharge the batteries overnight they will not last but a few hours the next day and they do need about 6 hours of full charging. If you forget to charge overnight, use non-rechargeable batteries. The hearing aid receivers above my ears are invisible (so it doesn't really matter what colors you choose) even with my short hair. The thin clear plastic wires are difficult to see even if you tell people you have them on. The cup that fits in the ears is comfortable and generally stays in the ear canal although it requires some fumbling and readjusting if you have thick fingers. That's probably what took the most getting used to.

There are 5 user-settings that can be programmed into the hearing aid receivers, but I generally use Number 1, the Universal setting. The hearing aids have feedback (squeeling)reducing circuitry, and you can hear them trying to readjust themselves to eliminate the feedback, but sometimes they don't completely eliminate it, particularly if you have your head on a cushion or pillow. The only way to eliminate feedback is to have it readjusted professionally or lower the hearing volume on the Tek remote control. I like listening to music sometimes with headphones on. That produces too much feedback, so I simply turn the hearing aids off still mounted in my ears.

All in all, this product is far better than any in the canal hearing aid and much more comfortable to wear. I recommend this model very highly.

comfortable and invisible
This is my first hearing aid (I have the Pure 500). I was hesitant when the audiologist described the "behind the ear" style with the receiver tube, but this really is very discrete and less visible than many "in the canal" versions. I've been wearing mine for 2 weeks and only two people at work have even noticed I had an aid, even when I point it out. I have custom earmolds on order, but the 8mm domes are very comfortable and I doubt that I'd notice the difference with the customs. For me, out of the box it had a very hollow/tin like sound but the audiologist was able to quickly program the aid to an acceptable quality within 10 minutes. I don't think I'd try ordering online without planning to have them adjusted by an audiologist with the programming software. Overall I am much more pleased than anticipated. I thought I'd just wear the aid at work, but it is so comfortable and discrete that I wear mine whenever I'm not in bed!

Very comfortable, almost invisible
I am very satisfied with this product, I changed to the PURE 700 RIC after using for a year the ARTIS 2S.
My first impression when I look at the device coming out of the box was that it is very small, even then the sound quality is very good.
The aids are so small that I used them for a whole day and my family members thought that I was not wearing any aid.
I have tried them in the regular office use, at home and as some medium size gatherings having very good results in all cases.
I bought the TEK Remote at the same time, that one did not work and had to be turned back to the supplier. The attention given by the supplier both before the sale and after the sale is very good.
I do recommend both the PURE hearing aid and the supplier.
