A Must Have for Me! If I Had A Hammer...
One night I was scrolling through Amazon and happened across this Thor Plush, which was designed by artist Ron Spencer, and I knew immediately that I had to have it as a prop for my mythology / humanities classes! It just made me smile. I mean look at that hammer--the great and mighty Mjolnir! I wondered with a grin: could one hammer out some "in-class" lightening, thunder, and justice--and fun!--- with this legendary object? The original, mythic Mjolnir was made of iron--not plushness! :) Ah...how civilized we have become over the centuries!

There were only two Thor Plushes left in stock at the night I first view the product, so I jumped on the purchase in case I would miss the opportunity! I'm glad I did because it looks unavailable now!

My Thor arrived today in the mail, and I am even happier with my purchase. The product is much better than I expected from the picture. In person, he's the softest (plush) tough guy you'll ever meet. Under that red beard is a cocky little smirk! His eyes are actually blue, but the image on Amazon can't really show the view that! Well-placed velcro allows him to hold the Mjolnir, the hammer, and it can be removed if you need to give it a swing. However, be forewarned: this plush hammer does not return to you as the mythic Mjolnir allegedly returned to Thor, but maybe that feature only works with actual Norse deities. LOL

Other details: I'm thinking he's probably about 14 inches tall, and he sports a furry cloak with blue lining. You gotta love the fuzz boots too!
