better than the hard plastic type
I just bought this for my Dachshund. he has had a big problem with allergies this year. this comfy cone is great for him to sleep in and makes it a lot easier to maneuver around the house. I can fold it back to let him eat, so I don't end up cleaning it after every meal. the only problem is that my Dachshund can still reach his back paws around the cone, other than that we like it.

Not transparent and not great for cats
Although the quality of this collar is excellent and frankly, if I were an animal, I think I'd love it, my cat really cannot stand it. It's a bit wider than a standard e-collar so he ends up dragging it on the floor, in his water bowl, etc., but the real problem is that it's not transparent. Whereas I think a dog might not be so bothered by this, my cat is very distressed by the lack of peripheral vision. I tried it on him several times, b/c the darn thing looks so much more comfy than the pointy plastic variety, but it was like torture for him.

I got the comfy cone for my min pin that had to have knee surgery becouse she did not like the plastic e-collar and it looked like she was uncomfortable wearing it. She loves the comfy cone no more fighting her to put it on she can even sleep good in it I highly recommend this product.
