Customer Reviews
Only a sampler
If you are a novice to Dvorak then this package may be worth considering. The 3 Slavonic dances are very good. The last movement from the Cello concerto is a keeper, and the Carnival Overture and the infectious Scherzo cappriccioso have plenty of fireworks and charm. The real problem with the disc is the same as all greatest hits classical albums:too much minutae for the sake of range of style and mood in place of comprehensiveness that a whole symphony or concerto would convey. For the Dvorak fan there isn't anything here that's essential.
