The Strathwood double sunlounger allows natural spaces outside the home to become just as livable as its indoor spaces. Two rear 8-inch wheels give the double sunlounger mobility, so moving it to just the right spot in the sun or shade is easy. Relax with a friend in a fully reclined horizontal position or independently adjust the back and leg rests to any of three possible positions. The addition of generously sized sliding trays on each side provides 7-1/2-by-13-1/2 inches of space on which to put drinks and snacks, sunglasses and sun cream, favorite books and magazines, or whatever. When not in use, slide the trays back underneath the chair for convenient storage. Horizontally ribbed slats are close enough together to offer solid, comfortable seating, and are far enough apart to let rain water fall through and dry out.

The chair's dark stain finish enhances its natural, rich dark wood look. Rest comfortably knowing the all-weather outdoor chair is built from premium, hand-selected dark shorea hardwood. Dark shorea is an exceptionally sturdy natural wood that doesn't require oiling except to maintain a desired color. Occasional oiling will help maintain the finish from the effects of rain, sun, and dew, or you may allow it to weather to a silver patina over time. As an added natural bonus, dark shorea is resistant to rot, mildew and insects. This chair's wood is also FSC-COC certified, which guarantees it has been harvested from forests deemed to be under the practice of environmentally and economically sustainable forestry.

Individually machined using mortise-and-tenon construction for strength and durability, the chair is sanded and then hand polished on all faces for a smooth feel. Its hardware is stainless steel for rust-free performance. Each side's seating area measures 25-1/2 inches wide, and when fully upright the double sunlounger measures 72-1/2 inches long by 52-1/4 inches wide by 33-1/2 inches high. When fully reclined to a flat position, the double sunlounger measures 72-1/2 inches long by 52-1/4 inches wide by 11 inches high.

Very nice for the $$$$
Just try to find a double chaise for this kind of money. I was surprised when it was put together, that this is so beautiful. The pics do it no justice. Very sturdy, easy to put together. Has pull out side tables on both sides, so you can have two side tables out at the same time. Rich in color. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish it was a bit longer. Im 5'5" and it fits me fine. But anyone taller than me would have both feet hanging off. I woukld not get the cushion that goes with this. I did and sent it back. It was pure white, not eggshell. I got two single strathwood natural cushions and put them together. It looks great. As for the chaise....get it while you can at this low price of 269.00 I saw Amazon has it now for 299.00 It went up. I got it just in time. But the only other double chaise that I saw like this, close to this price range is at [...] I think this one is alot better, and doesnt lack in quailty. Go for it, you wont be sorry.

some misalignment
generally sturdy. some misalignment when the back is lifted up. the pin does not seat in the catch. I shoved some cardboard to straighten out.

missing parts and misaligned bits
Too bad. The product was promising. And it would only take some attention to detail to make it a 5 star.
The outside box looked OK. The inside packaging looked like the product had been reboxed after a return and that the packager had a very rough time getting it back into the styrofoam.
The front slat was badly marred to bare wood.
The hardware kit was missing 3 nuts and had one stripped screw.
The "directions" were a photocopy of a photocopy of drawings of the unit at various stages of construction with a list of hardware on each page. No directions about which directions slats went, etc. and the difficult-to-read quality made the drawings next to useless as well.
Finally, the finished product was dangerous. One of the recliners does not fit into the rubber stoppers. If someone manages to prop it up and sit in it, their first squirm will bring them flat.
As I said, too bad.
