The Complete Little House Nine-Book SetThe Complete Little House Nine-Book Set by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Buy new: $36.84 / Used from: $24.95
I would check these books out over and over from the library as a child. I now own them as a grown-up and still love them to this day.
Harry Potter Hardcover Box Set (Books 1-6)Harry Potter Hardcover Box Set (Books 1-6) by J. K. Rowling
Buy used from: $81.16
A late bloomer to the Harry Potter world, a friend loaned me a copy of Sorcerer's Stone on a whim and bam – instant fanatic! I absolutely cannot get enough of revisiting Hogwarts. The thought of the approaching release of book 7 is bittersweet. Although I cannot wait to get my hands on it, it will be sad to say goodbye to the end of the series - until I start to re-read it again!
The Chronicles of NarniaThe Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
Buy new: $23.75 / Used from: $8.98
I read "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" as a child in school and the others in the series as an adult. After re-reading "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" as an adult, I was actually quite surprised that we read that book in a public school with all of Lewis's Christian references. An excellent series.
The Celestine ProphecyThe Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01
Recommended by a friend in a very "coincidental" manner (*wink*) at the most perfect timing in my life, this book really changed the way that I thought about life’s everyday events. Always helps me to put things into perspective and inspires me to pay attention to those coincidental moments that are seemingly irrelevant, but never so.
The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book)The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book) by Don Miguel Ruiz
Buy new: $9.32 / Used from: $0.34
A gift from a friend that I shared “The Celestine Prophecy” with, a refreshing read that reminds one to: - Be Impeccable With Your Words - Don't Take Anything Personally - Don't Make Assumptions - Always Do Your Best
The Poetry of Robert Frost: The Collected Poems, Complete and UnabridgedThe Poetry of Robert Frost: The Collected Poems, Complete and Unabridged by Robert Frost
Buy new: $26.40 / Used from: $14.07
Robert Frost... His poetry is so transportational as he brings you to the places that he writes about with his amazing imagery. Beautiful.
My Sister's Keeper: A NovelMy Sister's Keeper: A Novel by Jodi Picoult
Buy new: $9.36 / Used from: $0.01
Another recommendation from a friend, and I am now a Jodi Picoult junkie! When I find an author that I love, I always want to read everything they’ve ever written. Jodi Picoult is now one of those readers. With controversial subject matters and a great writing style that includes every chapter changing to a different character’s perspective, her novels are very thought provoking.
The Secret Language of Birthdays (reissue)The Secret Language of Birthdays (reissue) by Gary Goldschneider
Buy new: $22.02 / Used from: $16.50
This is a super fun book. The authors give a 2-page astrological profile for each birthday of the year. It is eerily accurate, and a fun tool.
Twilight (Twilight, Book 1)Twilight (Twilight, Book 1) by Stephenie Meyer
Buy new: $11.69 / Used from: $7.00
Meyer’s 1st in a series of a plot consisting of the coexistence of supernatural characters living amongst normal human beings. I love series so am really excited about spending more time with these characters. I cannot wait until Meyer releases her "re-write" of this one from Edward's perspective!
New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2) by Stephenie Meyer
Buy new: $11.69 / Used from: $6.00
Follow-up to "Twilight" and even more exciting. A little heartbreaking as you are torn between two different types of love and agonize with the main character over how to handle the circumstances.
The Boy Next DoorThe Boy Next Door by Meggin Cabot
Buy new: $10.07 / Used from: $0.01
This is a very cute book written in a very clever way. The entire book consists of email conversations between all of the various characters. It is very witty and a fun weekend kind of read.
