The Incredible Voice of Roy Hamilton5
Anyone who has had the good fortune to hear the voice of Roy Hamilton knows how INCREDIBLE it is. Hard to do justice to it by words-Gospell, Broadway standards, hot licking rock n roll-all sung with a voice like no other, muscular yet full of honey is the best I can do. But, what is truly remarkable is the exceptional production values of these two albums on one CD. It's ashame liner notes do not list the arrangeers and musicians. You will hear strings, harp, oboe, all mixed tastefully together in a manner as grand as Sinatra's work with Nelson Riddle, Gordon Jenkins and Axel Stordahl. I can only guess that some arrangements were by talented people like Ray Ellis or Frank Hunter. As for the terrific rock n roll musicians just take Roy's word for it_Rock n Soul. Truly spectacular!

Great Musicans and Arrangements5
My father played violin on these recordings. He told me that the arrangements were done by Marion Evans. He is listed on the original album as the conductor and arranger. My father still has the original album.
I study violin and hope to play on recording like this
