Editorial Reviews
Album Description
This ''best of'' collection by Petula Clark contains all her essential hits. And she had a lot! 'Downtown', 'Color My World', 'I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love', 'You’d Better Come Home'. The list goes on. This greatest hits package is the closest we will get to the WB greatest hits package that reached #57 on the Billboard charts. We have adapted that original album artwork and have included every song from that album, in the same sequence, plus three additional hits not on the original album.

Petula's Best remastered to perfection
Anyone who loves Petula Clark will know all the hits and the few extras here. The sonic quality of this cd makes it worthwhile even if you have all her other compilations and albums. The songs leap out of the speakers with clear dimensional Petula. I recommend this cd without any reservation.
The nightingale sings! This one was done superbly!
A Dream Come True
I can't believe I stumbled across this wonderful cd. This is the Petula Clark compilation of my dreams. The first 12 songs comprise the 1968 WB Greatest Hits album, which consisted of all of her American hits from 1964 to the end of 1966, as well as the original recordings of "Call Me" and "You're The One", and the autobiographical "Two Rivers." Also, her 2 top ten hits from 1967 (This Is My Song, and Don't Sleep in the Subway) and her top 5 hit from 1968 (Kiss Me Goodbye) are included.
All of the songs included sound as fresh today as when they were originally released and the sound quality of this cd is even better than the excellent "Ultimate Petula Clark" cd which BMG released a few years ago.
If you are looking for a more comprehensive look at Petula's recording legacy, there are a number of box sets available, as well as the "Ultimate" cd. But if you just want the best of the Tony Hatch years, this cd is for you. Grab it while you can, you won't be sorry.
Better Than Expected
This CD has all that any casual fan of Petula Clark could ask for and more, a highly enjoyable offering worth listening to over and over again.
Sound quality is quite good too.
