It's about time !
I heard about this magazine from a friend. I am so glad that she told me about it! I have been completely fed up with empty Christian answers. I wanted to go deeper in my understanding. Modern Reformation is teaching me doctrine that I should have learned a long time ago. Why are words like "sanctification", "atonement" and "justification" not used in evangelical Christianity? When was the last time you heard these terms? These words describe the essential teaching of our religion. I am so glad to have found a magazine full of depth and insight. I'm not saying there aren't meaningful articles out there. I just think that, as a whole, the evangelical church has lost her moorings. It's sad to me that people prefer to listen to "name it and claim it" over historical Christian doctrine. Doctrine is what you'll get with MR. It will not disapoint. I have actually come to understand that Christianity isn't about getting MY felt needs met. It's about Christ and Him crucified. Go figure! Modern Reformation brings you back to the debate "deeds or creeds". Guess what folks? There can be no good deeds without the proper creeds. They go hand in hand. This is not the usual fanfare of spiritual fluff.
Rich Content
This magazine glorifies God in every respect. The writers analyze Biblically all issues in the church from corporate worship forms to individual choices a Christian must make daily. There are articles on specific churches, on trends in worship, on theological issues such as eschatology and apologetics, and on church history. Announcements of upcoming conferences by great theologians of our day and in-depth book reviews are very helpful. Because the magazine is not shallow or childish in its content like most modern Christian publications, it can sometimes be difficult to understand. However, it is well worth the time and effort to reach a better familiarity with the important subjects treated in this magazine's articles.
