About the Author
Doug Gelbert is the author of 19 books including, So Who The Heck Was Oscar Mayer?, You Can Be A National Champion, and Revolutionary War Sites, Memorials and Collections and the Canine Hiker's Bible. He is the creator and publisher of the DOGGINÕ AMERICA series of guidebooks to hiking with your dog. To date similar books have been published for Delaware, New Jersey, Rhode Island and others. A member of the Dog Writer's Association of America, he is a columnist for Fido Friendly magazine and has written for many dog publications.

GREAT BOOK
This book is fantastic. I have tried repeatedly to locate good places to go with my pooch - several online searches yielded very little information. This book is everything I was hoping to find.
