Works as good as it looks
OK...after going through 3 differnt brand trigger nozzles that were in the toy category, as well as I can explain it, this Toro Nozzle is the the greatest!
Easy to read tags for spray patterns...No dribbles or leaks...100% shut off with no drips!...No wet hands from stray spray, or even from higher than normal water pressure! I am at 112 psi day and 127 psi night!..that's on my bypass to the hose bibs on the outdoors!
All the spray patterns are exactly as described, and not only that..the spray is symetrical and flow balanced on the sprinkle...fan..and cone, spray settings!
Another great feature that is not on other spray trigger nozzles, is that there is a pressure flow adjustment knob on the valve stem piston end, that reduces the flow rate, if desired. Especially if watering delicate plants.
This should be on the end of every hose, as far as I am concerned!....Fine piece of engineering on Toros' part! Job Well Done!...........PS: Buying Another one for the other hose!
simply ok
After having two similar plastic nozzles fail, admittedly with serious abuse (driving over one with a SUV...), I wondered if paying almost twice as much for an all metal nozzle was worth while. The construction seems sturdy on this nozzle, but the spray patterns simply aren't as good. Compared to previous nozzles, the often used "shower" setting went too wide and made watering flower pots hard, the power/blast setting was weak, and the overall water flow seemed unimpressive. I have a 3/4" garden hose with good pressure; this nozzle should really flow some water, and it simply doesn't.
Initial verdict: not worth the money.
nice nozzle
Nice nozzle. Operates well with all the spraying positions you would need. The pressure regulator is real handy especially when watering potted plants. Had to return it because of defect but the ease and speed of Amazon's customer service department is outstanding. That is the reason I did not give it five stars.
