Medium- to full-bodied red wines need a wide surface area to fully release their bouquet, hence this monumental wine-specific glass from Metrokane. Ideally designed for Bordeaux, Cabernet, and Merlot, the 33-ounce glass provides the appropriate bowl girth and curvature that wine connoisseurs expect. HUGE honkin' ugly glasses
We bought some white wine glasses a while back and the Metrokane Rabbits were truly beautiful. We use them 10:1 over our Reidels. After my wife broke ANOTHER Reidel burgundy glass, I ordered these. They are HUUUUGE. I'm very serious when I say that an entire bottle of wine would easily fit into one of these glasses (with room to spare!) There is nothing attractive about THESE monsters and storage is a big issue (literally.) They would make a fine fish bowl!

Good "everyday" glasses
I own Reidel Sommelier glasses, Reidel Vinum glasses, and Reidel Extreme glasses. I put these Rabbit glasses into the same category as the Vinums from Reidel; they are great everyday glasses for people like me who tend to drink fairly good wines and tend to drink fairly hefty-sized portions.
These glasses are certainly not in the same category as Reidel Sommeliers, but then again they cost about 1/4 as much.

Rabbit is no Reidel
I saw an ad for Rabbit comparing it to Reidel. It is no Reidel.
Heavier than I expected, and larger than I expected.
