From the Manufacturer
This trap catches the Japanese beetle, a destructive garden pest which infests and destroys over 300 varieties of ornamental plants. The trap uses floral scents proven to be a natural attractant, along with the beetle's natural sex attractant. The trap uses a scientifically designed method to control the release of these natural floral and sex attractants to lure both male and female beetles to the trap. The convenient plastic cone design prevents the user from having to handle the actual attractants.Once attracted by the pheromone scent, Japanese beetles fly into the large yellow panels of the trap and are stunned on impact. They then fall into the attached bag. Once inside, they cannot fly out of the trap. The trap should be placed at least 30 feet from ornamental plants, to lure beetles away from the area where they are creating damage. Hang the trap by its twist tie hanger from a post or stake four feet above the ground, away from the desired foliage. During heavy rain or wind, the trap should be removed to a protected location. Infestation of the adult Japanese beetles occurs mid-June in the southern part of the United States, and around July 4 in the Northeastern and Upper Midwestern part of the U.S.

BEETLE QUEEN
My husband and I have a small tree farm in pa. we have about 50 acres but only 5 are planted in hard wood trees. The beetles have been really bad almost destroying the trees, we were using the other beetle traps but they don't last long with the animals wanting to eat the beetles especially racoons. I saw these traps at lowes and thought they were alot bigger and heavier and gave a couple a try, well I'll have you know they worked wonderful.I have 12 in our fields and EVERY night I empty the bags into a 5 gallon bucket and it is full when I get done! I reuse the bags ,they are very durable and the lure last all season, now I can't find any they are all sold out must be working for other people also. A+ from PA.
Japanese Beetle trap
I couldn't believe how great this produt worked. I no sooner opened the bait package and I was being swarmed by Japanese bettles. I had to rush to get it hung on a pole to get the beetles off me while I was holding the trap. I haven't seen one beetle on my rose bushes since I put out the traps.
bugs get bagged
just unfold / hang and withing hours you have an inch of these japanese beetles bagged....and it just kees filling from there!. Roses are already looking better, as is the birch
