Two thumbs up!
I received the La Crosse Digital Atomic Clock as a gift three years ago. I really like it! The instrument has been precise and is easy to calibrate. The outdoor sensor must be placed in a reasonable location in order for it to measure temperature accurately, i.e. not directly in the sun. The text size is large enough that one can read the clock at a distance, although not obnoxiously oversized. The brushed aluminum framing sets off the clock with a clean, contemporary design. And, the clock can be displayed anywhere in a room since it is battery operated.

Great Clock
I received this clock for Christmas last year (2005). The directions to calibrate it are simple, even for me. It took me a few trys and then presto. The "transmission" icon has been on ever since. I have not changed the batteries. The smaller "sensor" goes outside to read the outdoor temp. Not only does it transmit through doors, but around walls and into other rooms. My sensor sits in the corner of my front porch and I have never bothered with it. The clock keeps perfect time, ergo : atomic ! Daily I am fascinated by the humidity reading in the house as well as the "weather forecast" indicator. An arrow up or down, clouds or sun to indicate changes or just how nice your day is going to be. A wonderful for clock, you won't be disappointed.
This year I'm paying it forward with gifts to others.

Great Clock, Work as Designed
I do not understand why this clock got poor reviews. This is a great clock, and has been working reliably for three years. The setup is easy, and there is not much maintenance except replacing the batteries every few months, which is pretty good. Thinking to buy a second one.
