Customer Reviews
Fantastic product
The mugs are great but are quite fragile. The biggest issue is having them arrive safely. I ordered 2 sets of 2 mugs and 3 of the 4 mugs were NOT broken. Unfortunately, both mugs in the replacement box were damaged. I'm on my third attempt to receive at least one more unbroken mug before I send back two boxes of broken mugs. I will be buying these at a local retailer if the third attempt fails.
too fragile
Great idea, but the items came broken in pieces. Packaging seemed to be done in haste and poorly packed, so the second set Amazon sent me also was broken. I gave up and asked for refund. The oter Bodum glasses are better, as they do not have handles.
Disappointing
These glass mugs are very expensive but I thought they would be worth it for their insulating properties: keeping liquids hot longer etc. Forget it. Right away I noticed that coffee or tea would cool off just as fast as with a regular mug. I then tested it very precisely side by side every few minutes with a precision thermometer over a period of 30 minutes. Guess what, after pre-heating with boiling water for 2 minutes and then again from a starting temp. of 195 degrees to around 130, 30 minutes later, the Bodum mugs kept the temperature only between 2 to 4 degrees warmer. Big deal! In other words, you can't tell the difference in reality. So if you like the mugs for other reasons, fine but the touts that "double walled, mouth blown" glasses keep liquids any hotter are "overblown" and not worth the price.Bodum Bistro Double-Wall Insulated Glass Jumbo Mug, Set of 2
