Try it, you might like it
I'd never tasted or even seen this type of tomato before but I decided to risk it and have a go at growing them even though I wasn't sure they'd grow in tropical Trinidad (some fruits/veg need a cold spell to grow well and we are pretty much around 32 degrees celsius all year round). They were very easy to germinate and grew well. I grew them in a large trough-type container, and the plants grew to about four feet tall. They are a bit lanky and do require staking or caging especially if you live in a windy area otherwise they will be blown over. I planted basil in with them to help keep away pests but I was still troubled by one pest - stinkbugs! I had to continually pick them off the stems of the plants but this is not unusual as I read that they are attracted to tomato plants. Luckily they didn't get a chance to do any damage to the plants or fruit because I got to them in time. Constant vigilance!

The tomatoes are very cute and look just like the photo. Because they are cherry tomatoes, they are small enough to pop in your mouth whole. I meant them for salads but I can't resist just eating them for a snack. None have made it into a salad yet! They turned out very sweet although I am not sure if that is their natural inclination or because I added baking soda to the soil from time to time. I read that the baking soda reduces acidity in tomatoes.

I highly recommend trying these!

One of the best cherry tomatoes
Good yields on large, sprawling vines. I reccommend a lot of support for this one, cause the only problem was it branched like crazy and some of the branches cracked where they joined to the main stem. They have really good flavor. Mild and sweet, almost too good to put in your salad. A good beginner's tomato.
