Great Pen!
Folks, this is *not* a marker! Ignore any reviews that complain about how it's not permanent on CDs or plastic.
This is a first class writing utensil. It's excellent for writing on paper and paper-like mediums. Does not bleed at all, and feels good in your hand.
Highly recommended.
Cool pen, but watch out when using it on airplanes!
I like the idea of the Sharpie Pen--a quick-drying, fine point marker pen that doesn't smudge on your hands. Be careful using them on planes, especially during takeoff, though. The change in air pressure seems to make the ink ooze and drip out of the head quite a bit--and I have a bunch of ink splotches in my notebook to prove it. It was fine during cruising altitude, but I decided to put it away during landing.
Still, it's a fine pen, smooth and consistent.
Great to write with, but leaks and breaks easily
I love writing with these pens. It is a nice felt tip, very fine lines. The ink dries quickly and it writes easily on even glossy paper without making a huge mess of smeared ink (unless it leaks, see below).
My problems with the pens are that they are not very durable. After only a week or so of use, the cap cracked from being pulled off the back of the pen where it is stored while you're writing. It still worked but was looser than normal. Not long after that the logo and wording on the pen itself started flaking off on my hand, making a big mess. The paint or whatever they used to print the wording on the pen just started flaking off. Then a couple weeks after that the pen leaked from the tip, resulting in ink all over my hands, in the cap, etc.
I wasn't especially rough with the pens or anything, they were in a pen pocket on my sleeve (military uniform).
Like I said I really enjoyed writing with these pens, but I just can't recommend them when they start falling apart in so many ways in such little amount of time. Maybe a new version will fix the falling apart problems, and then I think they will be great pens.
